LESSON INFORMATION
Swimming lessons follow the ASA Learn to Swim Framework which is a comprehensive swimming development programme.
Lessons are held in the Bishop's Stortford and Sawbridgeworth areas and incorporate, after school, weekend and daytime lessons.
Each course of lessons normally range between 10 and 14 weeks in length, dependent upon the Hertfordshire school term.
Lessons are available for all abilities from beginners through to competitive level.
Lessons are available for pre-school children.
All children are constantly working towards an award, details of which can be found on our Award Scheme page.
Armbands are not used. Beginners will be taught using a variety of alternative buoyancy aids.
All instructors are qualified, experienced swimming teachers who hold the relevant qualifications and CRB checks.
Some physical contact with your child will be unavoidable during their swimming lesson, therefore all staff adhere to the ASA Child Protection guidelines.
It is compulsory for girls to wear swimming hats, as well as boys with longer style hair cuts.
PAYMENT PROCEDURES
Children who currently attend lessons have priority to book onto the next course.
To retain their place, payment for lessons much be made, in full, by the due date.
Payments can be made by cash or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Splash! and your child's name written on the back.
All lessons are paid for in advance.
A place for the following term will be guaranteed until one week before the end of each course, when payment is due. After this time open enrolments will commence and places will be made available for new swimmers.
Places cannot be guaranteed for late payments.
Prices per course of lessons are available upon application.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
A fully completed medical form must have been received prior to commencement of swimming lessons with Splash!
A £5 administration feel will be retained for any cancelled booking. Unfortunately refunds cannot be given for lessons cancelled up to 7 days prior to the start of the course.
Refunds will only be given, or alternative lessons offered, if they are cancelled by Splash!
We wil endeavour to keep continuity of teacher for each course of lessons but this cannot be guaranteed.

If children are disruptive in lessons or cause a danger to themselves or others, they will be removed from that lesson. Dependent upon circumstances and frequency of removal from lessons they may be excluded from any further courses with Splash!
If any Splash! rules and regulations at any pool, are repeatedly not adhered to by parents or children, lessons for your child will be withdrawn with immediate effect.
